Got an idea, looking for input

While looking at the front bumper cover of my 06 MCS, something always comes to my mind. I think it would look good, especially on the MCS models that have blacked out grills or the modified JWC grill if there was someway to black out the sunk in area around the fog lights.

Does anyone know of a black out kit that may be on the market for this area of the bumper cover?

I tried some cheap vinyl today just to get an idea of what it may look like, and it really looked good. But because of the shape of the area, it would take some work to make it look right.

I haven't ever seen a black version for that area, I have however seen chrome. Your best bet may be to buy the chrome version and paint it, though the chrome may stick out a little depending on how thick of a plastic they use. I can't remember where to find it, but try www.minspeed.com because I think he has all of the chrome accessories there, and he is our club sponsor so you'll get a discount through him.

That chrome version is for the cooper bumper only. Vinyl is your best bet and it can be conformed to any bends. Cutting it would be the issue

MSFITOY painted part of his rear bumper black as well as his license plate surround - looks good. Not the cheap or easy route - but the best results if you're sure that's what you want.

You can ditch the fogs and get some real brake ducts. That's what that look is supposed to be anyway. :)

Paint would be good if you happen to already have a painter on the pay roll. If not, vinyl is cheap, and can be removed if you so desire down the road. Like Twister said, it can conform to curves, but with that area all curving inward it will take some patience, ( alot really ) and a hair dryer to heat the vinyl some so it will stretch down into bottom area. I can give you some 3M flat black or glossy vinyl if you want to play with it..
