    NCDOT TO CLOSE LANE OF I-40 WEST IN DAVIE COUNTY FOR BRIDGE REPAIR WORK ON THURSDAY Wednesday, October 19, 2011
    RALEIGH — The N.C. Department of Transportation will close one lane of I-40 West approximately one mile east of Farmington Road near Bermuda Run on Thursday, Oct. 20, for bridge repair work.

    Weather permitting, the closure will go into effect at 9 a.m. and end by 2:30 p.m. During that time, crews will do concrete repairs on the bridge that carries Pinebrook School Road over I-40.

    The closure may cause some traffic congestion. NCDOT urges motorists traveling through the work zone to go slow and pay attention to construction-related signs.

    For real-time travel information at any time, call 511, visit www.ncdot.gov/travel or follow NCDOT on Twitter at www.ncdot.gov/travel/twitter. Another option is NCDOT Mobile, a phone-friendly version of the NCDOT website. To access it, type “m.ncdot.gov” into the browser of your smartphone and bookmark it for future reference.
