Can I lover my MINI with 215/35 R18 tires on it???

Can I lower my MINI, even though I have 215/35 R18 tires on it, it seems there is no space available to do so, please give some advice. I love my rims, and don't wanna change them, but want to lower my MINI.

Got a pic so we can see what it is and how much do you want to lower?

I used to run the same size tire on my 7.5'' x 18'' wheels
and mine is lowered quite a bit.. Like Mark said above do you have and pics so we can get an idea of what offset the wheels have and or to see how far they stick out already...

Looks like you have plenty of room to lower it. 2'' might be pushing it but atleast 1.5''
Here is a pic of mine when I had 18'' on it.. Currently running 17''

Thanks for the answers, but after having this answer:

Yes you can. While your rim size is larger than stock, the actual diameter of your wheel is smaller than stock. Use this calculator to see:
    http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp
The stock size is 195/65 r16 overall diameter 24.44 inches
Your 215/35 R18 is overall diameter 23.92 inches

For lowering you should be OK. Your tire size is wider that stock, so you can't mess with the camber as much, but unless you got camber plates, you won't have to worry about this. N2MINI, how wide your tires when you run 18"???

I have been wondering in how wide they are. Will it affect it? because I don't have camber plates, and don't want to have my tire stick out the fenders...

    eh

Lowering will not affect how far out the tires stick compared to how they look now.*

There is trig involved, but I'm pretty sure they will stick out a bit less, but we're talking less than 1mm from the position the wheel is in now. Anyone else can chime in and embarrass me if needed.

The path the wheel travels up and down over a bump is not perfectly vertical, but its close. Lowering involves using a shorter spring, so really you are sliding the wheel up in the travel 1 or two inches. If you like how your wheels look relative to the arch position now, lowering will not change that.
