Shenandoah Mountain Run - April 14th (new Richmond MINIs club event)

Saw this posted on NAM this morning .. thinking I'm going to attend, can we get some Tar Heel MINIs motoring along with them .. mountains are fun for everyone in a MINI

(meeting point of Glen Allen VA is just outside of Richmond, I'll likely head up Friday night and spend the night for Saturday AM start if anyone else interested; can usually priceline very reasonable rooms in Richmond on the weekends)

Hey everyone, this is Nathan from RVM [Richmond Virginia Minis]

We will be hosting a little drive up to the Shenandoah mountain area on Saturday the 14th of April. We will all meet up at Echo Lake park in Glen Allen around 10am, and roll out by 10:30. We'll go up Staples Mill straight through to the Tasty Freeze restaurant right at the edge of town and take a break there for lunch/snack time. Then we will hit the mountain passes! We'll be out there on the road for a good hour to 2 hours, then come back, so about 3 hours total time.

This is a nice, scenic drive, but for any of you who enjoy the "spirited" events, that will be going on as well! There are lots of curves and certain sections which we run back and forth a couple of times, but you DON'T have to if you don't want to participate in this!

We hope a bunch of you will come out and join us for this event. It should be great weather and a great drive. Minis and mountain driving = fun! We're just looking to get the RVM name out there and meet you other awesome mini guys and gals!

Anybody need a drive excuse this weekend? And if you need a really long drive excuse, Saturday do this Shenendoah Mtn drive and then Sunday catch up with the DC Metro MINIs for their Spring Fling ...

Here's the link for the DC Metro event on Sunday .. seriously, Richmond group on Saturday, overnight in N VA, and DC group on Sunday .. Spring Fling event finishes up about 4:30pm so still plenty of time to get home and a full night's sleep before work on Monday AM ... so far looks like 50+ MINIs planning to attend ..

Ok, last update ... looks like the weather on Saturday for this run is going to be great. Really looking forward to this run. Just think of the run this weekend as being a good prep for the Dragon ... come on out!!

We did RVM's Shenandoah Run today. Great weather and 13 MINIs. Jeff and susan made it up and both are headed up to northern Va for DC metro's Spring Fling. Think I'm the only HR MINI member up here though. Can't wait to get down to another one of yalls runs.
