I have a 2007 mini cooper s and i need suggestions on what to get for an exhaust. I'm looking for something that is not too loud. I've seen vids of Magnaflow and Invidia but not sure of which one.

While the invidia exhaust systems look great. They drone on the highway. Hope this helps
The Invidia isn't bad for the money. I like the NM exhaust it is pretty nice, but if you want the best the Akrapovic is by far the best.

To some extent, they all drone at cruising speed on the highway. I love my NM catback, but sometimes I think its a bit too loud. The Milteck is supposed to be quieter. The Remus is quieter, at least on Jeff Cole's Clubman S vs the NM he started with.
H-Sport 19mm rsb, Koni Sport shocks, IE fixed camber plates, NM cat-back exhaust, NM torque arm bushing, NM SSK w/NM cover plate, EBC Red Stuff pads and WMW ss brake lines, coco mats, Alta 4" antenna, hardwired V1, Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
Most all Cat backs will be significantly louder due to they remove the rear resonator. Jeff and I have the same exhaust, it is an axel back, so our resonators are still in tact. I don't have drone with mine. It is louder than stock but not to an annoying HUUUMMMMMMMM. It's quiet when crushing and gets more aggressive in the throttle.

MILLTEK is an awesome exhaust system. Fit, finish and sound (not too loud, no droning) is excellent. You'll probably never find a dissatisfied MILLTEK owner. You get what you pay for with this system.
Had Milltek on a previous car and cannot say enough nice comments. Fit/finish/sound were all excellent.

Borla isn't bad for sound, BUT they fit like total crap on the R56 because the resonator goes right where the center brace over the exhaust tunnel. So you either have to remove it or cut it.
But even bigger problem with borla exhaust is that everyone I've had in the shop has had the welds crack after a year or two. If you have an 04 you should check yours. Many times they'll make noise or drip.
