It was great last year. It was really hot, but I had an umbrella and that helped. Pictures are posted in my albums. Take a look/see.

I might be there, but I might be working at church that day, so I'm not sure.

It looks like fun - we intend to be there. Don't know if we'll be entering anything, but it's always good to hang out with other miniacs.

Random fact: the guy with the green classic is the same guy who sold me my JCW a year ago.

That's cool!!!

Just so everyone knows, we had 3 award categories for the MINI since it was the marque for the event. Best Overall Mini, Best Classic Mini and Best Modern Mini.

Mel,

Congratulations and thanks for posting pics! After lunch with some friends in Charlotte I got held up in traffic for an hour and a half after a huge wreck closed I-77.
Instead of getting there at 2:00, I finally made it at 3:30 and only one classic mini and a couple of mg's were still there! Catch you next time!

Who won best in show?

It was the Green Classic Mini that won Best in Show for all the Mini/MINIs. Dirt said he bought his MINI from the guy. I don't know his name. It was Mel's favorite classic, as he said it was the closer to it's original and in great shape. Cute little car it was. Good turn out for both the classics and the modern. I just wish it wasn't so darn hot!

Thanks, Richard. I'm still pinching myself! Yeah, they started to do the awards at around 1:30 pm. It took them a while to get through each class of car. As soon as each section was announced, those cars left the show. It was very hot and we were all glad to get into our air conditioned MINIs!!!

Thanks! There sure was a good group of Mini/MINIs!!! We had better turn out than some of the other groups that were large just the year before. I hope we have a big turn out next year! Still bummed the Countryman didn't show!!!
