boil 2lbs chicken(more or less), remove and tear it up toss chicken and pinapple salsa in pan,
throw some colorful peppers(non-spicy) and onions on separate pan to soften
chop lettuce to fine strips, prep mex mix cheese, glaze top with salsa,

I'm not sure what the "Miglia" part of it is but it usually consists of going over the route, channel for walkie talkies, preplaned stops, and any other rules
the leader has etc...

Miglia is an Italian term used in Mille Miglia meaning 1000 mile sports car race. It is held in October usually and this is our little tribute to that event held yearly in Italy. Because our event is associated with a winery and driving.

Put us down for some deserts. Probably wont be anything too elaborate, but I could whip up some cookies. Will confirm closer to the date as I look around in my pantry and see what I can come up with... It will definitely be heat tolerant :-)

I will also bring plastic knifes, forks, & spoons.

Looks like 150 of each sounds good?

Also do I need to bring a cooler with the water? I see someone else is bringing coolers.. don't want to bring more than needed.

Our cooler is to bring ice in and I will probably freeze the waters the day before in hopes of them being cold to drink..
Probably need a couple of ice coolers for the soft drinks, tea and such that others are bringing..

How many waters are you bringing? We should probably coordinate how many each of us should bring? I can bring @ least 40. I need to see how many I can fit into the cooler and keep cold? H'm

Just a heads up, if you are planning on doing the Morning Drive and don't want to ride with you food or other items. I am trying to co-ordinate for someone to meet us at the starting point to take your items directly to the vineyard. If all else fails, you'll be riding with your items.

If we have to can we drop off our items @ the vineyard before the drive meet up? Or is it too early?

Its possible for my wife to bring her Honda Oddessey up and we could fill it up... but I'm sure she wants to come on the drive ... so we need to go back and pick up the minivan or leave it @ the Vineyard?

Any idea's?

TWISTER
August 18th, 2011, 10:31 AM
Not sure there will be a place to drop off at the winery. I can fill up my MINI and go to the winery. I won't be doing the drive as I have to be at the winery before everyone gets there. Don't worry, we'll make it happen

Amanda has been begging me to make some Magick Cookies (essentially 7 layer bars with coconut, chocolate chips etc) so I'll make 2 batches of those - 1 for her and 1 for the cookout. I'll also bring some sort of cake - probably a pound cake and I'll con Amanda into making/bringing some of her nom-a-licious sausage balls and potato salad. (She made sausage balls for a cookout and between me and her Dad, she had to make 2 more batches because we couldn't stop eating them ^_^ )

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday!!!
